Resting in the Love of Jesus: A 5-Day Lent Devotional by Asheritah Ciuciuნიმუში

JESUS KEEPS NO RECORD OF WRONGS
“Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.” LUKE 22: 31–32
RECITE GOD’S GOODNESS
Lover of Your people, You keep no record of wrongs. Even knowing that Simon Peter would reject You, You still interceded for him; even as he denied You, You looked at him with love. How abundant is Your love toward us, though we don’t deserve any of it. You are so good!
EXPRESS YOUR NEEDINESS
When my sin is deep and as dark as the night, Your grace abounds. Search me and know my heart. Make me quick to repent and turn to You. May Your great love and comfort cause me to love and comfort others as well.
SEEK HIS STILLNESS
Take a few moments to become aware of God’s loving presence surrounding you this very moment.
TRUST HIS FAITHFULNESS
Like Peter, I sometimes have too great a view of myself. Yet, You love me not because of my lack of failures but despite them all. It is Your steadfast love that makes me stand, and You gladly take me back when I fall. Thank You for Your faithfulness! I trust in You alone.
