Basics of the Christian Faithნიმუში

… ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty…
“So God raised Him [Jesus] up to the most important place and gave Him the name that is greater than any other name” (Philippians 2:9)
After His resurrection from the dead, Jesus did not remain on earth. His earthly mission was completed and He returned to His Father in heaven. God the Father gave Him the most glorious position at His right hand. All other things and other beings are under Him. He is the King of kings!
In heaven, Jesus is still continuing His work. He serves as a priest. He intercedes for sinners. He rules the universe. He prepares a place in heaven (and later on the new earth) for believers.
During His earthly ministry, Jesus sacrificed Himself for the sins of the people. Therefore, He is now able to save them and care for them.
Maybe you feel sorry that Jesus is no longer visibly present on earth. After all, wouldn’t it be easier to believe in Him if we could see Him? Actually, not. Jesus looked like an ordinary man. People who saw Him still needed the help of the Holy Spirit to believe that this ‘ordinary man’ was the Son of God. The fact that Jesus is no longer limited to a human body, makes it possible to pray to Him from wherever you are. You need not travel to Israel. You can communicate with Him and He will hear from heaven.
