How to Give My Best to God?ნიმუში

How do I get closer to God and give him the best of me? The answer is in Matthew 6. This chapter is one of my favorites in the Bible because it gives us the secret of life and how to put God first. In the second to last verse of this chapter Jesus explicitly reveals to us the secret to a God-filled life. He said, "Seek first the kingdom of heaven and its righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." What a powerful statement! EVERYTHING will be added to us if we seek Him first. The big question is, how do I go about seeking his Kingdom and his righteousness?

Jesus left us a very detailed map of how to do it. First, Jesus begins by teaching about "The Offerings." I firmly believe that giving to a church, to an organization, to a friend in need, to needy orphans and widows, is a great way to, like Abel, give your best and first to God. Giving not only financially, but giving your time, giving someone a hand, or giving advice is one of the ways we will experience God the most. The Bible says, it is better to give than to receive. Giving brings us closer to God and makes us more like Him. Giving is a heavenly launguage. On the last day of this plan, we will be talking about the last three steps to give your best to God.
