Pastor How to Read Lukeნიმუში

Please read the Gospel of Luke 2:25-32.
Simeon, a devout spiritual man, had a revelation that he would not die until he had seen the Christ.
26 And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ.
After he had seen baby Jesus, he essentially said in verse 29, “Now I can R.I.P."
(When I read God’s Word, I try to apply it personally as much as possible.)
When Pastor Lia had cancer, our daughter was only 8 years old. Suddenly Pastor Lia was confronted with the possibility of death. I was confronted with the possibility of being a single father. During those times in the valley, like Simeon, her faith was that she would not see death before she sees our daughter grow up to serve God together with us.
Today, I want to ask you – what do you want to see happen spiritually, before you R.I.P.?
I am not talking about financial, career or status goals.
Like Simeon’s revelation in verse 26:
- I will not see death before I see Christ… in my family.
- I will not see death before I see Christ… in my children’s family.
- I will not see death before I lead 40 people to Christ (that’s 1 or 2 a year if you start young).
- I will not see death before I… (fill in the blanks).
Let’s have a spiritual bucket list.
