Love God Greatly - the Greatest Gift Givenნიმუში

The Lord is Good
Read: Psalm 100
SOAP: Psalm 100:1–5
Shout out praises to the LORD, all the earth! Worship the LORD with joy. Enter his presence with joyful singing. Acknowledge that the LORD is God. He made us and we belong to him, we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise. Give him thanks. Praise his name. For the LORD is good. His loyal love endures, and he is faithful through all generations.
Have you ever heard a hymn, worship song, or Christmas carol that made you feel more deeply connected to God? Maybe it revealed a part of His character that You never knew about, or the lyrics spoke hope and healing over the situation you were facing. Music is a gift that helps us tell stories, sing praises, and celebrate who God is, what He has done, and what He will do.
Today’s psalm writer celebrated Israel’s unique relationship to God and invited everyone to praise God for His faithfulness. This wasn’t a “stand and mumble your way through the words” kind of corporate worship—no, this came with a special instruction to worship with joy!
Let’s note from the psalmist’s example and write out our psalm of praise today. What is it about God that you want to acknowledge and praise with a joyful heart? What gifts has God given you that you can thank Him for? Where have you experienced God’s love and faithfulness in your life this year? What prayers has He answered? What does it mean to you that God made you, called you to be part of His forever family, and watches over you?
Pray or sing your words back to God with as much joy as your heart can hold! Our God is good and worthy of our praise!
If you don’t know what to praise God for today, why not start by praying today’s Scripture back to Him?
Prayer
Lord, You alone are God. You made me and claimed me as Yours. You invited me into Your family, and You protect and provide for me! God, You are good, and I thank You for Your enduring love and faithfulness. Amen.
