4 Reminders of Who You Are in Christნიმუში

Have you ever struggled to feel seen—validated in your feelings and struggles? Do you ever wonder if our great, big God actually sees our hurts and our challenges?
I imagine Hagar felt that way. After being forced to be a man-made answer to a promise only God could fulfill, Sarah’s jealousy leads to Hagar's poor treatment. We see her fleeing in Genesis 16 feeling overwhelmed by her situation—hopeless and helpless.
Maybe you can relate to that in your circumstance right now. You are overwhelmed and burdened. But take heart friend. Just as God saw and provided for Hagar in the desert, God sees you. He sees your heart ache. And he offers you His peace and comfort.
God has promised to never leave or forsake you. He has promised to lead you by still waters in your valleys. You can take your situation and your feelings to Christ in confidence that he hears you and that he sees you—right where you are.
And he will meet you there just like he met Hagar.
Affirmation: I am seen.
Prayer: Dear Lord, I feel overwhelmed by my circumstances. Help me to feel your presence. Build my faith to trust in your promises. Forgive me when I doubt your goodness. Thank you for seeing me. Thank you for hearing me. Thank you for meeting me where I am and never leaving me alone. Amen.
