What Is God's View on Marriage?ნიმუში

Can you marry an unbelieving man or woman?
The Bible does not prescribe whom to marry, or whether your parents should or should not have a say in your partner choice. There are some examples in the Bible where God appointed a particular woman as someone’s bride, but these are exceptions. Generally, you are free to choose whether or not to marry, and whom to marry. Of course, it is very wise to carefully consider the character of your future spouse and not just focus on their good looks—after all, you are to spend the rest of your life with that person.
But there is one clear restriction: as a believer, you are not to marry an unbelieving man or woman. Paul warns us not to “be unequally yoked with unbelievers”. Marriage, clearly, is a very close relationship; it means “becoming one” with someone. This is not really possible if you don’t share the most important thing in life, namely your faith in Jesus Christ. Such a marriage lacks a solid foundation, and it will either be a constant struggle or it will draw you away from the Lord.
Is your relationship with God your number one priority?
