Jesus is the Chosen One, but God constantly chooses people to do His work in unique ways. We often choose people based solely on their ability, appearance, or acumen, but God chooses differently. In 1 Samuel 16, the Lord explained how He "does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart" (v. 7). Since God sees our hearts, He makes decisions based on what He knows about us and the path He has for us. What an honor to be chosen by God despite what many would superficially look past. God knows you, and He has chosen you. Soak in that truth today.
