Esther: A 10-Day Reading Planნიმუში

The ending of the book of Esther isn’t a random tying up of loose ends. To the contrary, it’s hugely significant. The greatness of Mordecai actually points to, or foreshadows, someone so much greater than Mordecai himself. Mordecai points to Jesus, who came to earth to speak peace to his people and seek their welfare. That’s why this seemingly anticlimactic ending to our story is actually the most exciting part.
Reflection:
How do the passages for today enhance or fulfill the big-picture Bible themes we’ve studied in Esther as well as what we have learned about the character of God?
