GO2020 | ENGAGE: June Week 1 - ABIDEნიმუში

June 2—Making Disciples, Part 2
Read
Matthew 28:19-20
Reflect
Just before Jesus ascended to heaven, he told his disciples, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations . . . teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you” (verses 19-20a, ESV). It is this last commandment that is called the Great Commission. What a comfort it is to know that we don’t have to undertake this commission on our own (verse 20b). Jesus accompanies us and the Holy Spirit empowers us to do the work of the Father.
Engage
Read today’s Scripture passage. Say or write it out in your own words, considering the following questions:
· What does it say about God?
· What does it say about us?
· Is there a promise to trust?
· Is there a command to obey?
· How will I apply this Scripture to my life?
· Who will I show that I care by sharing this truth?
Memorize
Now read this week’s memory verse, 2 Timothy 2:2. Spend a few minutes working to memorize it.

About this Plan

Fulfilling the Great Commission does not happen by dropping gospel grenades and walking away. We fulfill the Great Commission by making disciples who are trained and equipped to also make disciples! This is multiplication! We teach new believers to obey all Jesus commanded. This will take time, commitment, and energy.
