Day Ten: Be Who God Says You Are
God is calling us to be more Christlike. Once we give Him permission (by surrendering our lives to Him), He continues our purification. This is a good thing, but it can be unpleasant and even painful.
Without God’s grace I would have called it quits many times. I did not like the pain of abandonment and emotional abuse. Yet, in the midst of my pain, I cried out for God to change me. The truth is, when everything was going great, I was too busy and “satisfied” to think that I even needed God.
Declare Today
Lord, I decree that I am who You say I am. I will no longer allow life’s situations to determine my steps. I was created to serve You, Lord, and I will spend my days doing it to the best of my ability. I will allow You to assist me in becoming the person You purposed me to be. You wrote me in Your book long before I was born. Therefore, I know that You have a plan for me. It is a plan for peace and not evil, to give me a future and a hope. In Jesus’ name, amen.
