Faith, goodness, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness, and love. Each characteristic builds on the other beginning with our foundation of faith in Jesus Christ and ending with the love of God at the top. Peter writes that all diligence must be given to this Christian development. A believer must strive to add these Christ-like qualities to her life through the guidance and leading of the Holy Spirit.
