Every one of us will at some point find ourselves going through storms in life. All our certainties crumble; we wonder why God lets this happen and when the storm will subside. This reading plan gives you valuable advice to stand firm in such a situation. This advice is based on a true biblical story from the book of Mark.

The church needs sold-out, all-in Jesus-followers. Disciples and disciple-makers. But where do you find them? How do you develop them? Look no further than how Jesus did it. Mark is all about Jesus! This 13-day plan will walk you through the book of Mark by reading only 1-2 chapters a day. Each day is accompanied by a short devotional and video that explains what’s happening and shows you how each part of the story points to Jesus and his Gospel.

“All generations will call me blessed, for the Mighty One has done great things for me,” Mary sang. And she was right. She became the mother of Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God! This gives her a unique position in God’s salvation plan. This reading plan is about Mary, a humble and blessed woman with great faith.

This reading plan explores the second Gospel. The persecution of Christians was on Mark's mind as he wrote this Gospel. Mark told the story of Jesus' life in ways that strengthened the faith of early Christians and encouraged them to persevere through suffering.

There is no heartache equal to that of losing a loved one. Unanswered questions, despair, and perhaps self-blame can leave those left behind with feelings of hopelessness. This 16-day plan examines biblical examples of suicide as well as the smorgasbord of lies we are tempted to believe in a suicide situation. Replacing these lies with God’s Truth will bring healing and comfort to those left behind. 

Mark uses the word “immediately” over forty times in his Gospel, emphasizing the intentional nature of Jesus’ ministry. The quick succession of healings and miracles shows that Jesus “came not to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many” (Mark 10:44). Through Mark’s Gospel, we are reminded that true greatness in God’s kingdom comes not through selfish ambition, but by being the servant of all.
