For 20 years, Michelle's father, Dr. Rod Masteller, used "5 P's" taken from the prayer of Aaron to serve as a daily guide to pray God's blessings over his life, family, and friends. In his honor, we have written this devotional as a framework to help you focus on praying for God's provision, protection, presence, power, and peace. 

Stories of the nativity are important, but the story of why Jesus came should involve so much more than a manger scene. Focusing on one chapter a day through the book of John will reveal the beauty of who Christ is and why His birth was so important. In the flurry of Christmas, keep your eyes on Him. John’s Gospel is a theologically intimate telling of the life and ministry of Jesus. John shows that Jesus is the preexistent Word who took on flesh to dwell among us. He is God's Son whose miraculous signs show evidence of His divinity. He is the Great “I Am” who has come to bring eternal life to all who believe.

“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with your whole heart.” (Jeremiah 29:13) This is a promise that God gave His people 2,600 years ago. It was a promise that the effort to pursue God would be rewarded with finding Him. For the next 21 days, we will pray and fast as we seek our Lord. He is our Promise Keeper.

God’s love for you is unconditional, inescapable, and unstoppable. The apostle John understood this love, and it changed his life. As you read each day of this 21-day devotional along with the Gospel of John, you'll discover there is no love like Jesus’ love for you, and you'll know His love in your heart.

This devotional focuses on the last acts and words of Jesus to His disciples in John 13-16. While John covers many themes in these chapters, one unites them all - love. Through these 21 days, may we learn to love God and people better.
