The Power of Vision

ỤBỌCHỊ 2 NKE 5

Do you ever feel powerless but wish you could make a difference?

Consider Nehemiah, the cupbearer to King Artaxerxes. He had no money and no power, yet God used him to change history.

When Nehemiah’s brothers came to tell him about the persecution that was taking place in Jerusalem, he sat down and wept.

Nehemiah cared deeply for the people of Israel and the city of Jerusalem. When he heard the news, he saw the need in his mind, felt the pain in his heart, and he was driven to pray.

We can imagine that he thought, “What can I realistically do about this? I am just a cupbearer to the king.”

Despite his powerlessness, Nehemiah turned to the One who was all-powerful. Take a moment to ask God to reveal a need around you, a need that you are uniquely gifted by God to fulfill.
