Pa fè menm bagay ak sa moun ap fè sou latè. Men, kite Bondye chanje lavi nou nèt lè l'a fin chanje tout lide ki nan tèt nou. Lè sa a, n'a ka konprann sa Bondye vle, n'a konnen sa ki byen, sa ki fè l plezi, sa ki bon nèt ale. Poutèt favè Bondye fè m lan, men sa m'ap mande nou tout: Piga nou mete nan tèt nou nou plis pase sa nou ye. Okontrè, pa mete gwo lide nan tèt nou. Se pou chak moun konsidere tèt li dapre sa Bondye ba li ki pa l nan lafwa.

Ne suivez pas les coutumes du monde où nous vivons, mais laissez Dieu vous transformer en vous donnant une intelligence nouvelle. Ainsi, vous pourrez savoir ce qu’il veut : ce qui est bon, ce qui lui plaît, ce qui est parfait. Dieu m’a donné gratuitement ses bienfaits. Je peux donc dire à chacun de vous : ne vous croyez pas plus importants que vous n’êtes, mais que chacun se juge comme il est, selon la mesure de foi que Dieu lui a donnée en partage.

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.

En vertu de la grâce que Dieu m’a faite, voici ce que je dis à chacun d’entre vous : n’allez pas au-delà de ce à quoi vous devez prétendre, tendez au contraire à une sage appréciation de vous-mêmes, chacun selon la part que Dieu lui a confiée.
