Li mete m sou gwo wòch la,
li fè m kanpe dwat ankò.

J’ai mis tout mon espoir dans le SEIGNEUR :
il s’est penché vers moi, il a écouté mon cri.

He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
out of the mud and mire;
he set my feet on a rock
and gave me a firm place to stand.

J’ai mis tout mon espoir ╵en l’Eternel.
Il s’est penché vers moi, ╵il a prêté l’oreille ╵à ma supplication.
