1998 Haïtienne

Apre sa, Bondye di moun konsa:
— Gen krentif pou Bondye, se sa ki rele bon konprann.
Vire do bay sa ki mal, men sa ki rele gen lespri.

Ensuite, il a dit aux êtres humains :
« Respecter le Seigneur, voilà la Sagesse !
Fuir le mal, voilà l’intelligence ! »

And he said to the human race,
“The fear of the Lord—that is wisdom,
and to shun evil is understanding.”

Puis il a dit à l’homme :
« La crainte du Seigneur, ╵voilà la vraie sagesse !
Se détourner du mal, ╵voilà l’intelligence  ! »
