Lè sa a, Senyè a di Kayen: — Poukisa ou move konsa? Poukisa ou mare figi ou konsa? Si sa ou fè a te byen, ou pa ta rive nan eta sa a. Men paske ou fè sa ki mal, peche kouche nan papòt ou, l'ap tann ou konsa. Se ou menm ki pou donte li.

L’Eternel dit à Caïn : Pourquoi es-tu en colère et pourquoi ton visage est-il sombre ? Si tu agis bien, tu le relèveras. Mais si tu n’agis pas bien, le péché est tapi à ta porte : son désir se porte vers toi, mais toi, domine-le !

Le SEIGNEUR dit à Caïn : « Tu es en colère et ton visage est triste. Pourquoi ? Si tu agis bien, tu peux te remettre debout. Si tu n’agis pas bien, le péché est comme un animal couché à ta porte. Il t’attend en cachette, prêt à t’attraper. Mais toi, sois plus fort que lui. »

Then the LORD said to Cain, “Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.”
