Caïn dit au SEIGNEUR : « Ma punition est trop lourde à porter. Aujourd’hui, tu me chasses de la bonne terre. Je vais être obligé de me cacher loin de toi. J’irai toujours d’un endroit à un autre, et je ne pourrai jamais m’arrêter sur la terre. Et celui qui me trouvera pourra me tuer. »
