Kounyeya, ale! Se mwen menm k'ap voye ou bò kote farawon an. Fè pèp mwen an sòti nan peyi Lejip. Wi, fè pèp Izrayèl la sòti kite peyi sa a. Moyiz di Bondye: — Ki moun mwen ye menm pou m ta penmèt mwen ale bò kote farawon an pou m fè pèp Izrayèl la sòti kite peyi Lejip? Bondye di l: — M'ap kanpe la avè ou. Lèfini, pou fè konnen se mwen menm ki voye ou, men sa w'a fè: lè w'a fin fè pèp la sòti kite peyi Lejip, n'a sèvi m sou mòn sa a. Moyiz di Bondye konsa: — Bon. Kounyeya, mwen pral bò kote pèp Izrayèl la, mwen pral di yo: Bondye zansèt nou yo voye m kote nou. Ou mèt sèten yo pral mande m: Ki jan li rele? Lè sa a, kisa pou m reponn yo?

Alors maintenant, je t’envoie vers le roi d’Égypte. Va et fais sortir de son pays les Israélites, mon peuple. » Moïse répond à Dieu : « Moi ? Est-ce que je suis capable d’aller trouver le roi d’Égypte pour faire sortir les Israélites de son pays ? » Dieu lui dit : « Je serai avec toi. C’est moi qui t’envoie. Voici la preuve : quand tu auras fait sortir d’Égypte le peuple d’Israël, vous me servirez sur cette montagne. » Moïse dit à Dieu : « Bon ! Je vais donc aller trouver les Israélites. Je leur dirai : “Le Dieu de vos ancêtres m’envoie vers vous.” Mais ils vont me demander ton nom. Qu’est-ce que je dois répondre ? »

So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt.” But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?” And God said, “I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain.” Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?”

Va donc maintenant : je t’envoie vers le pharaon, pour que tu fasses sortir d’Egypte les Israélites, mon peuple. Moïse dit à Dieu : Qui suis-je, moi, pour aller trouver le pharaon et pour faire sortir les Israélites d’Egypte ? – Sache que je serai avec toi, lui répondit Dieu. Et voici le signe auquel on reconnaîtra que c’est moi qui t’ai envoyé : quand tu auras fait sortir le peuple hors d’Egypte, vous m’adorerez sur cette montagne-ci. Moïse reprit : J’irai donc trouver les Israélites et je leur dirai : « Le Dieu de vos ancêtres m’a envoyé vers vous. » Mais s’ils me demandent : « Quel est son nom ? » que leur répondrai-je ?
