Les habitants de cette ville sont en train de récolter le blé dans la plaine. Ils lèvent les yeux et voient le coffre sacré. Ils sont remplis de joie en le voyant. Quand la charrette arrive au champ de Yochoua, de Beth-Chémech, elle s’arrête là, près d’une grosse pierre. Alors les gens cassent le bois de la charrette et ils offrent les vaches en sacrifice complet au SEIGNEUR.

Now the people of Beth Shemesh were harvesting their wheat in the valley, and when they looked up and saw the ark, they rejoiced at the sight. The cart came to the field of Joshua of Beth Shemesh, and there it stopped beside a large rock. The people chopped up the wood of the cart and sacrificed the cows as a burnt offering to the LORD.

L’attelage arriva au champ de Josué de Beth-Shémesh et s’arrêta là à côté d’une grande pierre. On fendit le bois du chariot et l’on offrit les vaches en holocaustes à l’Eternel.
