Who Is He? Who Are We?નમૂનો

Picture this: it’s your last few days on Earth, and you can do anything you want. Some might spend that time worshiping and praying, others might be anxious about what’s next, and some might finally take that long-awaited trip to Disney World. We all imagine how we’d spend those final moments. But how did Jesus spend his?
When Jesus knew His time had come to return to the Father, He began by reaffirming His identity. Verse 3 says, “Jesus knew that the Father had given Him authority over everything and that He had come from God and would return to God.”Jesus knew exactly who He was and whose He was. And with that confidence, His first action wasn’t to make the most of His last days for Himself, it was to serve. He took off His robe, lowered Himself, and washed His disciples’ feet.
You’d think that, knowing He was the Son of God with all authority, He wouldn’t have to humble Himself like that. But because He was secure in His identity, He was free to serve. His confidence in the Father allowed Him to lead with humility, love, and purpose.
That same truth extends to us. When we know who we are in Christ, when our identity is rooted in Him, we can live from a place of peace instead of pressure. We don’t have to fill our days with striving, proving, or performing. Like Jesus, we can live with purpose, even in uncertainty, by choosing to love and serve others.
So, if you knew your time was short, what would you do? Take that trip to Disney World, reminisce about your time spent on earth. Jesus chose not to entertain His last moments by getting experiences but giving them to others by serving them, which was a testament to how He lived His life. This wasn’t because He had to, but because He knew who He was. And when we understand who we are in Him, we can do the same, living every day with humility, confidence, and a heart to serve others.
