DAY 33 OF 36

It’s easy to get discouraged when the good you do seems unnoticed or when your faithfulness doesn’t seem to pay off right away. In Galatians 6:9, Paul encourages believers to “not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” That means every small act of obedience matters, even if you can’t see the results right away.

In Matthew 25:21, Jesus tells the parable of the faithful servant. The master praises him by saying, “Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much.” God sees your faithfulness in the small things and uses it as a foundation for greater things.

Ruth didn’t know that gleaning in Boaz’s fields would lead to her becoming part of the lineage of Jesus. She was simply doing what she could each day to provide for herself and Naomi. God took her daily faithfulness and wove it into His eternal plan.

Whatever season you’re in, whether it feels big and exciting or small and ordinary, remember that God values your faithfulness. Keep showing up. Keep obeying. He’s using your everyday actions in ways you might not see yet.

Questions to consider:

  • How do these verses encourage you to keep being faithful?
  • Why is faithfulness important in the small things?
