Mom in the Word: One-Year Bible Plan (Volume 1)નમૂનો

Week 5 (Day 25): When God Moves You into New Seasons
Scripture Reading: Genesis 42-43
Devotional Focus: Trusting God’s Provision in Times of Transition
In Genesis 42 and 43, we see the unfolding of God’s plan through Joseph’s life, even as he faces the betrayal of his brothers. They are now in a position where they must seek his help in order to survive the famine. Joseph recognizes them, but they do not yet recognize him. There is tension, but also God’s mercy in action. Joseph’s earlier suffering and rejection by his brothers have now led to him being in a place where he can provide for them and save their lives.
Joseph’s statement in Genesis 50:20 gives us great comfort as we reflect on his journey: “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good.” The same is true for us. God can take even the most difficult, painful, and unfair situations and redeem them for His good purposes. As mothers, we may experience seasons of difficulty where it feels like the challenges we face are too much to bear. Yet, we can be assured that God is using every hardship to shape and strengthen us, just as He did with Joseph.
Reflection:
✨In our role as mothers, we are called to walk in forgiveness, just as Joseph forgave his brothers, knowing that God can turn what was meant for harm into something good.
✨Trusting in God’s sovereignty allows us to walk through our trials with a heart that believes He is working all things for our good and His glory.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for Your promise that You will turn even the hardest times into something good. Help me to trust You when life is difficult and to know that You are at work in ways I cannot see. Give me the grace to forgive, just as Joseph forgave his brothers, and to walk in peace, knowing that You are always in control. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Memory Verse:
"You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives" (Genesis 50:20 NIV).
