Day 4: The First Promise of a Savior — Genesis 3:15

🌟 Have you ever been in a situation where there seemed to be no way out? Adam and Eve were in the middle of a mess. They had directly disobeyed God’s clear command and found themselves hiding from the very One who had created them.

When God called out to Adam, his response was heartbreaking: “I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.” Ever since that day, humanity has been trying to do the same—run from God and cover our sin.

But the One we try to hide from is the only One who can heal us. God’s heart was not to destroy but to redeem. Right in the middle of guilt and shame, grace showed up.

In Genesis 3:15, God gave the first glimmer of the Gospel—the “first good news.” He promised that through the woman’s offspring, a Savior would come: “He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.” The serpent would strike, but the Savior would crush.

That promise was given roughly 4,000 years before Jesus’ birth. When the fullness of time had come, God kept His word—sending His Son to fulfill what was spoken in Eden.
