The Ripple Effectનમૂનો

DAY 1 — Your One Thing
Scripture:
“But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”
— Philippians 3:13–14
There are a lot of things you could do this year. You could get out of debt, get married, save up for a vacation, or pursue a dream. While there are a lot of things you could do, what is the one thing you have to do that will literally change your life?
God hasn’t called us to wander aimlessly, unaware of where we’re headed. We’re not supposed to be spiritual tumbleweeds that drift wherever the wind blows. Instead, God has invited us to cooperate with the Holy Spirit and to focus on the direction He’s leading.
So what is the one thing you need to focus on this year to follow God’s plan for your life? What’s the one thing that you know in your heart you need to do? Perhaps you need to...
- Break a habit.
- Accomplish a goal you have been putting off.
- Restore a broken relationship or end a harmful relationship.
- Admit an addiction you have and get help.
- Pay off your debts and be financially free.
- Start a business or end a business.
- Support a ministry.
- Volunteer at your local church.
What’s the one thing that you need to focus on—the one thing that if you accomplish it, will change your life?
If you succeed, you could confidently say with the apostle Paul, “I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”
“Devoting a little of yourself to everything means committing a great deal of yourself to nothing.”

About this Plan

When a stone is dropped into still water, it creates a ripple that spreads far beyond the point of impact. What begins as a single moment quickly affects the surrounding surface, reaching outward in every direction. In the same way, our choices, relationships, and sources of wisdom have a ripple effect on our lives. The one who walks with the wise will become wise, but a companion of fools will suffer harm. Proverbs 13:20, HCSB
