PSALM 57
LET YOUR GLORY BE OVER ALL THE EARTH
David is hiding for his life in a cave, attempting to avoid Saul (see 1 Samuel 22:1–2; 24:1–3). In his time of refuge, David wrote this psalm asking God to bring mercy and deliverance. David trusts that God will fulfill His purposes with his life. Even in desperate circumstances, David trusts that God will carry His plans to completion and glorifies God’s steadfast love and faithfulness.
Psalm 57:11 ESV - "Be exalted, O God, above the heavens! Let your glory be over all the earth!"
