Saying Yes to God

I was only seven when I stood behind a pulpit for the first time. My message was simple, but it carried weight far beyond my years. That early yes set my life on a trajectory I never could have scripted. From a boy preacher in Oklahoma to carrying the gospel across continents, my story has been one long testimony of what God can do when someone is willing to obey.

Here’s the truth: God doesn’t look for polished résumés or perfect people. He looks for hearts that are surrendered. Every major turn in my life came down to a decision. Would I trust my own understanding, or would I say yes to God’s call, even when I didn’t see the outcome?

You may not be called to stand on a platform or travel to distant nations, but God is calling you to trust Him with your life. Your yes might mean stepping into a new job, reconciling with someone who hurt you, or simply starting each day with an open heart. Whatever it looks like, your yes makes room for God’s power to work in ways you could never orchestrate on your own.
