Strong and Courageous

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” - Joshua 1:9

Mighty God, You are the One true God, the faithful One–the light of my life and the light of the world. Your strength is what keeps me going and Your presence is the reason why I have courage. Thank you for this brand new day to go out into the world and do what You’ve called me to do. Lord, with so much happening in our society and all of the bad news, it’s easy to fall into fear or even to become numb. But I refuse to give into fear. Holy Spirit, help me and all believers to be strong and courageous, to refuse fear, and to even do things afraid if we have to. I declare that we will not be discouraged about what is happening in the world or our lives. Thank You for the promise of Your presence, Your power, and Your provision. In Jesus’ name, amen.
