ROMANS 8

In this chapter of the letter to the Romans, we find an invitation from God: that we may be convinced that, through His Son Jesus, we are made children and co-heirs with Him. The Lord invites us to live a life filled with the Holy Spirit—a story that is not limited to ourselves. We understand that if we were once slaves to sin, by God's grace, the work of the cross has reached us, and in Christ, we can know God's love and thoughts for us. But it doesn't end there, because creation eagerly awaits the manifestation of God's children. Now, as children, we have a mission: to bring other people into the family of God, our Father.

Today we find life and hope. We know a love so real, deep, and tangible that not even tribulation, distress, persecution, hunger, nakedness, danger, or the sword can separate us from it. People need to know this love. So may you live in such an intense friendship with Jesus that you reflect His glory in the world. May your posture as a child of God lead everyone to understand that they too have access to a life where they can cry out, “Abba, Father,” and know that they are not alone.

Live a life that demonstrates what it means to be a child of God.

If you understand how the Lord has worked in your life and revealed Himself to you, don't keep it to yourself or hide it. Walk boldly and confidently, and take this work everywhere you go. Because children of God love people and overflow with the nature of the Father.

Pray for God's strategies and directions! He is most interested in you living a purposeful life, so ask Him how you can rise up today to make Him known, wherever you are.
