The Herdman children are known troublemakers. No one expects them to do anything well—or to even understand the meaning of Christmas. Yet, when they step into the pageant, they bring honesty, energy, and a raw authenticity that surprises everyone. When everyone expects them to fail, they end up bringing the hope of the Christmas story to the whole town.

God often works through the least likely people. The Bible tells us that His ways are not our ways and that He delights in using unexpected people and circumstances to accomplish His purposes.

What looks messy or impossible to us may be exactly where God is at work, shaping hearts and showing His faithfulness in ways no one anticipated.
