Praying for Your Husband: Covering Your Husband in Faith & Power

DAY 4 OF 5

Day 4 – Covering His Relationships

Proverbs 27:17 – “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”

Devotional:
The people your husband surrounds himself with have a powerful influence on his life. Friends, coworkers, mentors—even casual acquaintances—can either sharpen his faith or slowly pull him away from it. Sometimes the wrong voices bring temptation, compromise, or discouragement. But the right voices can call out his potential, strengthen his courage, and push him closer to God.

As his wife, you have a front-row seat to his relationships. You can pray for God to surround him with wise, godly people who will lift him up. You can also pray for protection from unhealthy influences that may try to tear him down.

And don’t forget—you are his closest companion. When you choose kindness, support, and encouragement, you become the safe place that no friend, boss, or mentor can replace.

Prayer:
Lord, I lift up my husband’s relationships to You. Protect him from harmful influences and bring people into his life who will speak truth, wisdom, and encouragement. Strengthen our marriage bond so that I will be a source of love and support for him. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Challenge:
Do one simple act of kindness today that reminds your husband you are his biggest encourager—send him a message, compliment him, or do something thoughtful that shows you’re in his corner.
