Nehemiah's Response to Crisisનમૂનો

Start with God
Seeking the Lord’s help is the first and most crucial step we can take. It not only expresses our dependence on Him, but also reflects our concern and commitment. Nehemiah shows us exactly what that looks like. His fasting is a personal sign of how seriously he takes the issue—serious enough to give up his comforts in order to seek God.
Are we willing to give up even one meal for something that deeply affects us or touches our hearts? If we can’t sacrifice a little, how will we ever give the time and effort required to make a real difference?
Nehemiah doesn’t stop with prayer. He steps forward, volunteering himself for the task and seeking God’s help along the way. He’s not content to just feel burdened—he acts, trusting God every step of the way.
Yes, the size of the problem can feel overwhelming. It can even paralyze us. But here is a cupbearer—an ordinary man—rising to rebuild the defenses of an entire city. Nehemiah is not self-reliant. He is God-reliant. That’s why his limitations don’t hold him back. Instead, he is empowered by God’s possibilities.
Let’s Ponder
What’s one issue around you that deeply concerns you? Is it something in your family, neighborhood, campus, workplace, nation—or even globally?
What will your response be?
