The Spirit Code - a 5-Day Reading Planનમૂનો

The Holy Spirit beckons us to come to the Lord Jesus Christ. On the last page of the Bible, we read, “The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come!’ And let him who hears say, ‘Come!’ And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely” (Revelation 22:17). The bride is a clear reference to the church in the New Testament, that body of born-again believers who one day will be reunited with the Bridegroom, our Lord Jesus Christ. We who are alive in this day are in partnership with the Holy Spirit, offering the lost world the free invitation of the gospel to come to Jesus. While the church issues the outward call, the Holy Spirit issues the inward call to the heart. . . .
We see this partnership in the little village of Bethany at the grave of Lazarus. Lazarus had died and already been buried when Jesus arrived on the scene. He was greeted by a funeral party in deep mourning. An outward call was given— something for the people there at the grave to do. Their job was to roll away the large stone that sealed the grave. But it wasn’t until Jesus spoke that Lazarus was brought back to life. Thus, our Lord issued the inward call as He cried, “Lazarus, come forth” (John 11:43). And he did!
Our job in the outward call today is to roll away stones. As we issue the outward call for people to come to faith in Christ, we seek to roll away stones of indifference, of unbelief, of presumption, of pride, of procrastination, and the like. Our apologetics and our witness enable men and women to be more sensitive to hearing the Spirit’s inward call to their hearts. We are in partnership with the Holy Spirit in life’s greatest task of calling people to faith in Christ.
Prayer
Lord, please guide me as I seek to share the gospel with others, and please help them hear Your call. Amen.
