Matthew's Journey: 'The Gifts You Have' (Part 4)નમૂનો

Every Gift Matters
It’s easy to think that some gifts matter more than others. Maybe you admire speakers or musicians, or other people that take the stage. And perhaps you can’t see (yet!) how quiet, behind-the-scenes work is just as valuable. But Scripture reminds us that every gift matters—every role is essential in the body of Christ.
In The Chosen, we see the disciples starting to form their group, each bringing different strengths and weaknesses. Peter is bold and brash. Andrew is more reserved. Matthew is observant but socially awkward. Couldn’t Jesus have just picked people who were all the same? He didn’t. He built a diverse team. The church has grown since–still compiled of failing, falling and lacking people. But somehow, they make the picture whole together.
Sometimes we dismiss our own gifts because they don’t seem “spiritual enough”, or something like that. They don’t seem to add usefulness. But whether you’re an encourager, a problem-solver, someone with a knack for hospitality or anything else—God designed those gifts you have with a purpose. No part of the body can say to another, I don’t need you, says the Bible. So instead of wondering whether your gifts are important, ask yourself: How can I use what I have to serve others?
And here’s the beauty of it—when we embrace our gifts, we allow others to do the same. Imagine a church where everyone fully stepped into their God-given abilities. The encouragers would lift up the weary, the teachers would inspire and equip, the servants would bring practical help, and the visionaries would chart the course forward.
The Kingdom of God flourishes not when a few people do everything, but when everyone does something. What if your role—no matter how small it seems—was the missing piece in what God is building around you?
So… stepping into our gifts requires a shift. Instead of waiting for someone else to affirm or invite us, we can begin by simply offering what we have. Maybe your gift is listening, creating, or organizing. Maybe it's mentoring, leading, or comforting. Whatever it is, God can multiply it beyond what you imagine—if you're willing to use it. So the question is: Will you?
Have you ever compared your gifts to someone else’s? How might God be calling you to embrace your unique role?
