Healing Hurtsનમૂનો

When Pain Has a Purpose
We all want healing. We just don’t want the hurting that often comes with it. But the truth is, healing and hurting are two sides of the same coin. You can’t have one without walking through the other. Why? Because God doesn’t just remove symptoms—He goes after roots. And roots go deep.
I remember when God first started to expose the places in me that needed healing. At first, I wanted to pray it away, shout it away, speak it away. But what I had to learn—what many of us have to learn—is that healing isn’t an event. It’s a process. And that process will require honesty, surrender, and perseverance.
James tells us to “count it all joy” when we face trials, because those trials produce something in us. They refine us. The pain becomes the soil where spiritual maturity grows. You don’t need to fear the pain. You just need to trust the God who uses it.
Just like Joseph told his brothers, “You meant it for evil, but God meant it for good,” your wounds aren’t wasted. The enemy may have planted them, but God has a harvest in mind. That includes your freedom, your purpose, and your testimony.
Reflection Questions:
- What pain in your life have you tried to avoid instead of process with God?
- Can you see how God may be using your current struggle to produce growth in you?
Prayer:
Father, I thank You that my pain is not pointless. Even when I can’t see it, You’re working it together for my good. Help me not to rush the process or run from discomfort. Give me grace to trust You when healing hurts. In Jesus’ name, amen.
