Make Your Job Count for Eternityનમૂનો

Go
Today, let's intentionally go.
Matthew 28:19 (NASB1995)
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,
On some Bibles, there's a footnote on the word "go," and an alternate translation of "having gone" or "as you go."
Every day, most of us go somewhere. We go to work. Even if we work remotely, we go to stores, schools, restaurants, or hospitals.
This verse can mean that we need to quit our jobs and go on an overseas mission, but I believe it really means that we go because it's expected that we will go today. We're here, and as we go, Jesus is telling us to make disciples.
You can set aside any stereotypes you have about making disciples too, because you probably won't deliver a sermon or baptize anyone today. A disciple is simply a learner—a student. Jesus' disciples follow him and learn from him regardless of the methods or the tools that we use. And so the first step in making disciples is to be one.
Do you follow Jesus at work?
Do you talk to him and ask him for direction?
Do you pray for your boss and your coworkers and your customers or your vendors?
Do you represent Jesus by the way you work?
Are you only following Jesus when you're at church?
We're told in Matthew 5:16 (NASB1995)
Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
Today, as we go to work or wherever we go, let's live like we're disciples of Jesus, paying attention to those around us and looking to make disciples.
We can be intentional as we go today. And so let's do that as step one of putting our faith to work.
Action Prayer
Lord, today, may I be deliberate and intentional in my interactions with others. Grow my relationships with everyone I meet and use me to make an eternal difference in the life of at least one of my interactions today.
Amen.
