How to Have a Real Relationship With Godનમૂનો

Day 1 - Knowing the Person of God
Saying we have a relationship with God is not enough to validate that we have a real relationship with God.
I’ve heard many claim to have a relationship with God, but it’s more about them thinking that they have a relationship with God based on what they believe about God or have heard from others.
These people do not daily interact with God, and many of them rarely read the Bible.
I was that person, too. I grew up in church and knew about God, but never had a personal relationship with God, nor did I spend any time outside of church being with God and reading the Bible.
I’ve now come to know how to have a real and personal connection with God and want to help you draw closer to God.
A relationship is a two-way interaction. It requires two people interacting.
So, if you are not spending time with God and engaging with Him daily, you do not have a relationship with Him.
Imagine me telling you that I have a relationship with a famous actor whom I have never met. In my mind, I tell myself I know him and have a relationship with Him because I’ve seen him in movies and heard about him from others, but I have never spent time with this actor. Therefore, do I truly have a relationship with this actor?
A relationship requires you to know a person, encounter that person, and interact with that person.
On day 3, we will learn how to know God, encounter God, and interact with God.
For now, have the confidence that you can have a relationship with God through Jesus. We were all born into sin, separated from God at birth, due to the sin of Adam and Eve (Genesis 3). But God so loved the world that He sent Jesus, His only begotten Son, to die for us that we may be made right with God if we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior (John 3:16).
Jesus resurrected on the 3rd day and is alive. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, He gives us His Spirit (the Holy Spirit) to live in us (John 14:16).
It is through the Holy Spirit that we can know God and have an intimate relationship with Him.
God spoke thousands of years ago through the prophet Jeremiah in Jeremiah 31:33-34 (NIV): “This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel after that time,” declares the Lord. “I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest,” declares the Lord. “For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.”’
We are living out this prophetic word now. Through Jesus, our sins are forgiven, and by the Holy Spirit, we all can know God and have a real relationship with Him.
If you have not surrendered your life to Jesus, you can easily do so today! Romans 10:9 says, "If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
Do not wait for tomorrow or another time to give your life to Jesus. Tomorrow is never promised. "Now is the day of salvation" (2 Cor. 6:2).
You need to mean it when you say you want to surrender your life to Jesus. To surrender to Jesus means you are willing to do everything to get your life right and obey God's Word.
Make this your prayer: "Jesus, I give my life to you today. I believe that you are God, my only Savior. Forgive me of my sins. Help me to see sin as you see it. Open the eyes of my heart to see you rightly and to know you. Fill me with your Holy Spirit that I may know you more. In Jesus's name, amen."
