“30 Pictures of Jesus” 30 Day Planનમૂનો

Today we see Jesus as the Image of God.
From the beginning, humanity was created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26–27). Like ancient kings who placed statues of themselves around their kingdom to represent their rule, God placed human beings in his world to reflect his presence and reign. To be made in God’s image meant to spread his life, wisdom, and justice to every corner of creation.
But humanity failed. Instead of reflecting God’s glory, we marred his image with sin. The world, meant to be filled with God’s likeness, was filled with violence, pride, and corruption. Into that void, people set up idols of stone and wood—distorted images of what they imagined their gods to be. But the true God cannot be captured by human hands. That is why God commanded Israel not to make an image of him (Exodus 20:4). Any image we made would be a corruption of the truth.
This is the background for Paul’s breathtaking claim: “The Son is the image of the invisible God” (Colossians 1:15). Jesus is not a distortion or approximation. He is the exact imprint of God’s nature (Hebrews 1:3). To see Jesus is to see God. In his compassion for the weak, we see the Father’s heart. In his authority over storms and demons, we see the Creator’s power. In his self-giving death and triumphant resurrection, we see the glory of God made visible.
And the good news does not stop there. Jesus came not only to show us God but also to restore God’s image in us. As we are joined to him, we are “renewed in knowledge in the image of our Creator” (Colossians 3:10). By the Spirit, we are being conformed to the likeness of Christ so that we can once again reflect God’s glory to the world (Romans 8:29).
This is good news. The world no longer needs to guess at what God is like or settle for false images. In Jesus we see God clearly. And in Jesus we become what we were always meant to be—living images of the living God.
