Through the Word: Knowing God, Making Him Known

DAY 3 OF 30

Sin Separates Us From God:

As we all know, people often choose to do the wrong thing. Every one of us has lied, cheated, stolen, or disobeyed God’s commands. These actions break our relationship with God and deeply grieve His heart. When Adam and Eve first sinned, God had to cast them out of the Garden of Eden. Why? Because if they had eaten from the Tree of Life after falling into sin, they would have lived forever in a broken, sinful state—something God did not want for them or for us. Instead, God set a plan in motion. He prepared a place called hell for the devil (the serpent) and all who ultimately choose to remain in sin. But this was never God’s desire for His children. He does not want anyone to be separated from Him forever.

Take time to reflect on the seriousness of sin—how it breaks God’s laws and our perfect relationship with Him. But don’t lose hope. Tomorrow begins the story of God’s redemption for us—a story of love, sacrifice, and restoration.
