Journey Through Kings & Chronicles Part 1નમૂનો

Overview of 1&2 Kings: In Front of the Text
The fact that God used some kings in spite of their occasional failings can be encouraging, especially for over-achievers.

Reflections—Pursuit of Perfection
We have been sobered by the less-than-perfect character of even the best figures in the Bible. Yet, they’re apparently “good enough” to be used by God. Reflect upon that concept and journal some thoughts, making sure also to answer this question: Why is this NOT giving us permission for moral and spiritual license?
What advice would you give someone in your church to trust that they are “good enough” to be used by God (in their family life, work life, neighborhood, etc.), while also warning them against moral and spiritual license?
Note that the concept of “good enough” is especially important for performance-driven overachieving perfectionists who don’t believe they are ever-worthy of God’s favor. This concept has its roots in the psychological work of D. W. Winnicott with reference to the best kind of parenting.
