Consecration: Living a Life Set Apart

DAY 5 OF 5

Consecration is a Daily Decision

Consecration isn’t a one-time event—it’s a daily decision. Every morning you wake up with a choice: Will I live for myself or will I live for God? Following Jesus requires surrender every day. The cross we carry isn’t just a symbol—it’s a lifestyle of putting God first.

Life gets busy. Distractions pile up. But a consecrated life keeps coming back to the altar. It keeps saying “yes” to Jesus, even when it’s hard. It presses forward, even when it stumbles. Because our goal isn’t perfection—it’s faithfulness.

Respond to God’s Word:

  • Begin each day this week with the words: “Today, I choose You, Lord.”
  • Write down one area where you tend to drift—and ask for God’s strength to stay faithful.
  • Encourage someone else today to keep pressing on in their walk with Jesus.

My prayer is that your family experiences the power and beauty of living a life fully consecrated to God. One of the ways our family has grown in this is by setting aside intentional time each week to pursue God together. We’ve been using a simple, powerful tool called the “Leading Your Family Weekly Guide.” Each week, it gives us a Scripture on consecration, a worship song to center our hearts, seven daily conversation questions, and a short prayer to guide our family time. It’s been a game-changer in helping us set our home apart for the Lord. If you want to grow in this too, you can get the guide here: https://www.faithfamilyweekly.com/

About this Plan

Consecration: Living a Life Set Apart

God never called us to live halfway committed lives. From the beginning, He has desired a people set apart—devoted fully to Him. Consecration isn’t just for pastors, missionaries, or leaders. It’s for every believer who wants to live a life of purpose, purity, and power. Over the next five days, we’ll explore what it means to be consecrated and how it can transform every part of your life.
