Expecting Miracles

DAY 6 OF 7

Day 6: Trusting God When Miracles Don’t Come

Devotional:
Sometimes we pray earnestly for healing or deliverance and don’t see the answer we hope for. This doesn’t mean God is absent or uninvolved. Paul’s “thorn in the flesh” reminds us that God’s grace is sufficient even when miracles don’t come. Trusting God means resting in His goodness, believing He is at work even when we can’t see it, and growing in faith through trials.

Summary:

  • Not every prayer for healing or deliverance results in a miracle.
  • God’s grace is sufficient, even in weakness.
  • Trusting God includes accepting His will beyond our desires.

Reflection Question:
How do you respond when God’s answers differ from your expectations?

Prayer:
Lord, help me to trust Your grace when I don’t understand Your plans. Strengthen me to rest in Your goodness. Amen.

About this Plan

Expecting Miracles

This Bible plan explores the nature of miracles as expressions of God’s sovereign power beyond natural laws. It helps believers recognize God’s ongoing providence in both ordinary blessings and extraordinary miracles. The plan encourages faith in Jesus’ unique role as the miracle-working Messiah and guides readers to live faithfully in the tension between His first coming and future return. It also offers encouragement to trust God’s grace when miracles don’t come and to pray expectantly, fully trusting God’s perfect will. Ultimately, this plan invites believers to deepen their trust in God’s power, presence, and providence in all circumstances.
