Collideનમૂનો

In many ways, we are incredibly fortunate to live in the time we do. Netflix! Door Dash! Spotify! However, even more than that, when it comes to our faith, living in this time and place has its incredible benefits as well. We can listen to faith-based music, read faith-based books, watch faith-based movies, and even buy mints with Bible verses on them. There is an entire world out there that can serve as a bubble for our Christian life. When we live in these little self-contained bubbles, it can be easy to think that the only good things that exist come from a world that is like ours. But this Scripture from the book of James tells us something different.
What it doesn’t say is, “Everything that mirrors us is from God.” Instead, James says that everything good and perfect comes from God. In other words, if it is good and perfect, it comes from God. Perhaps that sounds a bit scary, but the truth is, it opens up our world in a whole new way. It makes us see God as so much bigger and more expansive than we might have realized.
We don’t need a “Christian” stamp on something to know if it comes from God or not. A good thing comes from God, no matter where we find it.

About this Plan

Change often feels like a collision. Getting jolted out of the rut of predictability doesn’t always feel good, but it does have the potential to lead to something positive. Scripture is full of examples of people who collided with God and were never the same because of it. That didn’t mean it was always easy, but it did mean they were forever changed as a result. What would it take to put yourself in a position to collide with God?
