Journey Through Judges and Ruthનમૂનો

Lovingkindness in Ruth: In Front of the Text
What might you learn from Ruth, and how might you improve your ability to exhibit lovingkindness?
(You might also discuss your notions of romance and marriage.)
Romantic Love & Lovingkindness
For Ruth and Boaz, romance follows lovingkindness rather than the other way around. Passion is not the driving force in their relationship, as it may have been between Ruth and the other “young men” she chose not to pursue. The message for us today is not that passion is unimportant, but that lovingkindness is of higher value. For Ruth and Boaz, passion will come, enriching the love they already share.
Are you more guided by passion—sexual desire, anger or fear—than by loyalty, care and compassion in your relationships? Think of a situation when you put your own attractions and desires for another person ahead of the best interests of that person.
What might you learn from Ruth, and how might you improve your ability to exhibit lovingkindness?
Wrap-up
Nicole wraps up this lesson on two good people who choose to do the right thing during hard times—and God blesses them—and Israel—in a big way.
