God tells the Israelites that after six days of work, they should take a day to rest and honor Him. This is called the Sabbath, and today most Christians celebrate the Sabbath on Sundays. God even uses himself as an example - in Genesis, we read that God spent six days creating the world and rested on the seventh. Rest is so important - even God did it! When we rest, we have time to slow down and think about God in our hearts, talk with our friends and family and enjoy spending time with them. The Sabbath is a holy day to rest and delight in the Lord's presence!
