Jesus Christ Is the Son of God

"They were terrified and asked each other, ‘Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!’” (Mark 4:41 NIV)

Prayer

Jesus Christ, You are God from the beginning. The wind and the waves already know Your voice and obey Your every command. You, who walked on the water, will walk one day on the clouds of heaven when You usher in the new heaven and earth.

As we face the storms of life that swirl and rock our boats, help us sense the indwelling Spirit of God, the One who spoke all things into existence, the One who lives inside our hearts.

Through the tears, sweat, and blood that streamed down Your body on the cross, You saw us. We were Your joy. Help us to see past the darkness of this world that threatens to grip our hearts and see You up ahead, waiting for us in the heavenly realms to welcome us home. Help us to remember that You are our joy.

Son of God and Son of man, Savior of the world, Savior of my soul—oh, how I love You! In Your name, Amen.
