Day 2 – How To Reflect Humility and Authority
"Saying 'yes' to opportunities means trusting the path God has laid out for you, even when the way seems uncertain."
Have you ever faced a work situation where the environment seemed hostile or unwelcoming, yet, you felt compelled to step into the opportunity? In those moments, true courage doesn't come from earthly certainty but from trust in God's divine plan. Colossians 3:23 reminds us: "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men." This verse encourages us to center our values, regardless of the difficulties we may face.
Imagine each opportunity, regardless of its obstacles, as an invitation to grow. Here are some tips we have learned for how to face difficult decisions with wisdom:
- Reflect before acting: Take a moment to meditate on the decision, asking God to enlighten you on how to best respond with wisdom and grace.
- Live out your values: Consider how each opportunity can be an occasion to live out Christian principles (i.e. joy, compassion, love, grace, understanding, kindness, etc.), even in a setting where others may not always reflect them.
- Prepare for challenges: Expect that there will always be challenges, however, prepare how you can approach any difficulties calmly and with determination; knowing each step is part of a greater plan.
Reflective Questions
- What work opportunities have tested you, and how did you find the courage to embrace them?
- How can you strengthen your trust in God's plan, even when the path seems uncertain?
Prayer
Father, guide me in recognizing and seizing the opportunities You place in my path, even when the road seems tough. Grant me the courage to say "yes" to challenges and the wisdom to handle every situation with humility and authority. Help me to see each experience as an opportunity to testify to my identity in Christ, strengthening my faith and my commitment to Your perfect plan. Amen.

About this Plan

Every woman of faith is called to represent Christ, even in the spheres of business in which she occupies. The journey is not always easy, but we can learn to balance boldness with kindness: embracing the power we have been given without compromising our identity in Christ.
