Ten Minutes With God for Womenનમૂનો

The Miracle of Life
For in him we live and move and have our being.
Acts 17:28
Pictures of new babies fill my social media feed. I catch myself smiling at each one. Such a miracle, I think to myself. In those first days and months after birth, we revel in the miracle of life represented in these tiny new humans, but over time we don’t think about it as often—they are cute and we love them, but miracle?
Our life is a miracle. Yes, our less-than-perfect, sometimes broken-down life, is a miracle! I didn’t raise my children reminding them they were a miracle. I applauded what they did, helped them advance to the next step in their development, and before long they were grown. Growing up in a culture of self-made people it’s easy to leave the most important thing out of the equation—we were created by God and for God. It’s because of Him that we exist, living with the breath He supplies.
Why is this important? Because when this biblical view becomes our reality we will be able to live with purpose until our very last breath. A biblical view of the miracle of our one and only life will push us past insecurities about being good enough and all the other nonsense we grow up battling. Pure and simple, we are created by God, and we continue living because He truly is the breath and life within us.
Today I will remember:
- God created me, and I live because it is His plan for me to be here.
- I move about because God has given me the ability to do so.
- My very being is wrapped up in being a miracle of God’s creation.
Lord, may I live fully aware of the miracle of life—mine and others.
